Masonry Camp is held at The Flynn Center in Bowie, Maryland

IMI Masonry Camp brings together BAC apprentices and young designers to experience the masonry crafts firsthand — brick and block, tile, terrazzo, stone, plaster, and restoration — and to understand the advantages of craftworker/designer collaboration.

The two professions work not as adversaries but as members of teams working on a design/build challenge. That team challenge requires both professions to experience each other’s job, both in the design studio and on the construction site.

Who attends Masonry Camp?
Masonry Camp is attended by a select group of BAC apprentice craftworkers and architectural interns from across North America.

What is the format for learning?
Masonry Camp is a team experience designed around hands-on learning and applied design/build challenges. Hands-on sessions introduce all the masonry crafts: brick, stone, plaster, tile, restoration, and terrazzo.

What are the Selection Criteria?
Masonry Camp is presently only open to intern architects and BAC masonry apprentices.

Participants must be at least 21 years of age.

How do I apply?
