IMI provides masonry craft training and technical assistance in design and construction, through a strategic alliance between the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) and their signatory contractors that promotes quality construction in all masonry trades.

Pre-job classes in brick, tile, stone, marble, PCC and refractory familiarization are humming along. In 2008, BAC and IMI instructors will convene for classes in Supervisor Certification, Grout Certification, Terratop™, OSHA 500, and more. See more

IMI Helps Designers Go Green
IMI is now part of the highly-regarded Education Provider Program (EPP) of the U.S. Green Building Council. IMI’s green tool kit includes a LEED™ Checklist that helps designers achieve up to 35 points under USGBC’s rating system, plus direct assistance to architects, engineers and specifiers. In 2008, IM will deliver its “Energy Efficient Masonry Walls” presentation at numerous national conferences, including World of Concrete, “CONSTRUCT2008”, Coverings and Contractor College.
